/ˈɡerəs(ə)n/
A military outpost where troops are stationed in a fortified position.
The GARRISON Foundation is the home base for special forces veterans in transition. We believe that nobody who served should have to experience financial instability and disorientation during transition.
So we’re changing that.
Our Story
The GARRISON Foundation
The GARRISON Foundation was founded by combat veterans who intimately understand the challenges of transitioning from military to civilian life. They’ve lived through what many SOCOM veterans experience: the crushing loss of purpose, the strain on family relationships, financial instability, and the profound isolation that comes from leaving a tight-knit military community.
Like many Special Forces veterans, our founders struggled with working unfulfilling jobs despite knowing they were capable of more. They felt the weight of living paycheck to paycheck and the disconnect of civilian life – where each day can feel like a meaningless repeat of the last, so different from the mission-driven purpose they once knew.
This shared experience sparked a vision: create the comprehensive support system they wished they’d had. The GARRISON Foundation was born to forge a new path – one that transforms SOCOM veterans into successful business owners through three essential pillars: high-quality training, a powerful community of veteran entrepreneurs, and dedicated mentorship.
What sets us apart is our end-to-end approach with lifetime support. We don’t just help veterans acquire businesses; we guide them through every stage – from finding and acquiring a business to building a board of advisors, scaling operations, and even planning successful exits.
Our program delivers the critical elements every Special Forces veteran needs: Purpose through business ownership, belonging within a tribe of fellow veteran entrepreneurs, and stability through financial independence.
Most importantly, we’ve created a self-sustaining cycle of success. Each SOCOM veteran who completes our program strengthens our community and helps fuel the next veteran’s journey – creating an ever-growing network of empowered veteran business owners who lift each other up.
This is how we restore SOCOM veterans’ place in society: by equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and connections to build something they truly care about.
OUR MISSION
The GARRISON Foundation provides U.S. Special Forces veterans a path to entrepreneurship through business acquisition that leads to purpose and prosperity beyond their military service.

MEET THE TEAM
Caleb Foreman
Caleb Foreman served multiple combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan with SEAL Team 3 and a stint at the Naval Special Warfare Center as a Master Training Mentor and 2nd Phase instructor. After Caleb transitioned to civilian life in 2016. He was selected to a highly competitive executive leadership program at Omnicom, before spending several years in leadership positions at digital marketing agencies. After earning his MBA at the University of Texas, he followed his pursuit of purpose into the veteran non-profit space.
In his new roles, he was able to talk with hundreds of Veterans who were struggling with the same uncertainty, anxiety, and doubt he had carried during transition. He recognized the common burden veterans felt– but also a gap that many 501 c3’s were failing to close – providing a long-term solution and not just a band aid. Serendipitously, around this time he reconnected with his old platoon mate (JR) – it was out of their conversations that the Garrison Foundation began to take shape.
JR De Agostini
JR De Agostini served nearly a decade as a Navy SEAL with three overseas deployments, before transitioning to civilian life in 2013. He earned a BA in Economics from the University of Utah and an MBA from Stanford, followed by roles in investment banking with J.P. Morgan and private equity at Peterson Partners, ultimately serving as COO at Farcast Inc., an 8VC portfolio company.
However, the transition was a struggle, and JR faced mental health challenges and the risk of losing his family. It was through finding stability in business ownership that he turned his life around. Now, he’s passionate about helping fellow veterans achieve the same success and financial independence, making him the perfect case study for the GARRISON Foundation’s mission.
Every Special Forces veteran deserves more than a ‘thank you’—they deserve a future as strong as their service. Your donation helps SOCOM veterans overcome the challenges of transition, providing them with the training, support, and means they need to build thriving businesses and stable lives.
Together, we can give back to those who’ve given so much for us.

The Garrison
Creating a sense of community
The Garrison at The GARRISON Foundation cultivates a powerful network where veterans forge meaningful bonds and rediscover their mission in civilian life. Our tight-knit community of veterans supports each other’s growth, celebrates shared achievements, and works together to create lasting positive change in their communities through business ownership.
Through regular meetups, collaborative projects, and ongoing peer support, our Garrison members build relationships that extend far beyond business, creating a brotherhood that echoes the unity they knew in service.
Mentorship
Providing The Support for Success
The GARRISON Foundation’s mentorship empower SOCOM veterans with expert knowledge that typically takes years to develop on your own. Our mentors understand both the military mindset and the business landscape, making them uniquely qualified to guide veterans through this journey. They provide practical insights, real-world experience, and ongoing support that builds confidence and ensures financial success.
Leaving the Teams after twelve years, I had a family counting on me and an overwhelming number of choices - none of them felt like me. The Garrison Foundation didn't hand me a path. They helped me see one that made sense, and backed me once I found it.
Garrison Foundation doesn’t just help with one aspect of a veteran's life; it impacts a lot. It’s not just handing out money. They are a hand up, not a handout. They really teach you what it takes to be successful in business so that you can get financial freedom.
